We knew Likeard B were going to be a tough challenge, and we were once again without our talisman Joe - flu meant a late withdrawal, with Matt stepping in as a last minute replacement.
The men started poorly, and didn't improve in their 2nd game, only to find that it needed replaying as Liskeard had entered a wrong pairing!
But the 'girls' came to the rescue, Sam and Julie winning a thriller after being 16-20 down in the third end, with the next two games going our way.
With a 3-2 advantage there was all to play for in the mixed pairings. Julie and Matt had a difficult game against the experienced Vera and Mike, but both our other pairings won games that went to three ends, Lesley and Sam helping their partners taste victory.
The replay of the men's 2nd game was also a thriller, Matt playing exceptionally well, but we went down 2-1.
The final score was 5-4 to Torpoint. Well done the team!
