Having not played Ivybridge in recent years this match was an unknown quantity, but going on recent league results it looked close.
Our men started poorly going down in 2 ends, and the ladies faired no better. However, Paul came out firing on all cylinders and won his game with Joe; Sam and Lesley also winning. Inspired by Paul's performance Laurie raised his game to help win the third mens in 2 ends, but unfortunately Lesley and Julie lost in a close game.
So into the mixed pairings at 3-3 ! Joe and Julie came good and won comfortably against strong opposition. Paul's form continued and with Sam's strong play they also won. Lesley and Laurie completed the set, so Torpoint won 6-3.
