Mens Match - Tavyside v Torpoint

Our hall is out of action but our league teams can still play their away matches. Last night our men’s team were away to Tavyside. We lost 12-0 but there were still some good games. Well played team.

Torpoint Hall Temporary Closure

Please be aware that our hall (YMCA) is temporarily closed for up to 8 weeks to lay a new floor. This means we will not be able to play badminton until the flooring is complete.

Away league matches will still take place and our home matches will be rearranged.

Mens Match - Torpoint v Tavyside

Our men took on Tavistock last night and there were some good games but they all went the way of Tavistock, with the end result being 12 - 0 to Tavistock. Well played Stuart, Gary, Seb and William.

Medley Match - Torpoint v Liskeard

Our medley team played Liskeard Inclusive last night at home and after some good games, some of which went to 3 ends, we came away with a 8-1 win. Well done team!

Beckley Cup - Torpoint v Nomads

Wednesday night was the Beckley Cup Quarter Final match at our place against the Nomads (previously YMCA).

We've played these guys so many times over the years and they are always great games and a close contest. This was no exception.

The final score before the handicap was Torpoint 281 v Nomads 336. There was a handicap of 52 added to Torpoint, with the final score being Torpoint 333 v Nomads 336.  Which means the Nomads win by 3 points!! Super close and a very accurate handicap.

Mens Match - Kuasa B v Torpoint

Our men’s team played Kuasa B last night and had some good enjoyable games but still ended up loosing 12-0. They were a very good team.  Hopefully we will do better on the home matches!

Medley Match - Torpoint v Tavistock

Our medley teams first home match of the season was an exiting affair that was great to watch, let alone play in. Well done team although the final score was 4-5 to Tavistock, it was a good match with some close games.
