The Torpoint ladies won the day in our first match of the new year.While the men could only force one game to three ends, the ladies won all of their games quite convincingly.
So at three games each, the mixed events were to decide the outcome of the match. Joe and Julie had a hard fought match against the Callington No 1 pairings, winning 2 ends to 1. Lesley and Laurie faired more easily winning by 2 ends to 0. With this reult the match was won but Audrey and Paul gained another point for Torpoint coming back to win from 1 end down. So in the end a 6 - 3 win to Torpoint and an enjoyable evenings badminton.
So now we have won 3 and lost 3 matches at the halfway point of the season. Beckly cup next against Kitto!!
