For the second night in a row BATS were playing a Torpoint team. This time the A team and this time on their home court.
This was the A teams last league game of the season and a first match in the 'A' team for Carol, who was standing in for the absent Sam.
Playing with plastic shuttles in the confines of the BATS hall posed problems for Joe and Laurie who went down in 2 ends, but Lesley and Carole, playing out of order, made a winning start for the ladies. The men faired better in their 2 remaining games, winning them both, Joe and Paul going to 3 ends. Julie and Lesley lost to the BATS number one ladies, but Julie and Carol won, so 4 - 2 up Torpoint went into the mixed games. Joe and Julie won, as did Laurie and Lesley, but Paul and Carol could no quite make it in a 3 ender, Torpoint ending up by winning 6 - 3
So now we have to wait and see if Liskeard overhaul us in their 2 remaining games !
