Just recovering from some serious games tonight with almost every game going to 3 ends. As usual 7-2 not a fair reflection of the close match that it actually was. Total points showing this at 476 – 445. However we need to get a grip on reality and the reality is that we lost and we need to aim to get the edge over our opponents if we are to get a decent position in the league. Credit for the two points goes to Sam & Leslie in the ladies with a 2-1 victory and Mike & Leslie in the mixed with and 2-0 thrashing of their opposition. You can see the common theme here though can’t you…it’s Leslie….well done Leslie!! (what’s the secret?…and no it’s not Mike…). Thanks Mike W for standing in for Laurie in the mixed match. Laurie, hope the back feels better soon. Jason and I won an excellent and close fought first game in our mens match, followed by two not so excellent losses to lose it 2-1. Julie & I went 1-0 up, followed by 17-21 and then 19-21 after a close comeback from 12-18 down. Good shuttles, great games played in good sportsman like fashion…we’ll have them at our place
