Torpoints opening men's pairing, Paul and Laurie, cruised to a comfortable win in the first game. Jason and Laurie started well, winning the first end, but then lost their grip on the game losing the next two ends to 15. In the third men's game Paul and Jason ran out comfortable winners.
The Torpoint ladies faced stiff opposition from Builders, losing all three games in sub zero temperatures where it proved difficult to get warmed up.
So at 4 - 2 down we went into the mixed pairings. Audrey and Laurie started well then lost their way, going down 2 ends to 1, while the other games also went to Builders, with Lesley and Paul coming close in their 2nd end.
So finally Builders ran out 7 - 2 winners, in a good natured if somewhat freezing evenings badminton
