The last match of 2007 was our medley team and came on the back of two wins, one for the mens team and also a win in the Beckly cup. It was a hard fought match and at the end of the level events all the ladies had gone to Callington whilst Torpoint had won all the Mens to make it 3 -3 going into the mixed.
The first two mixed went Torpoints way and the third with Laurie & Leslie went to the wire and could have gone either way but Callington just managed to snatch it to make the end result a 5 - 4 win for Torpoint! So now its 3 matches on the trot.
One interesting point is that their were 3 Thrifts playing for Torpoint & 3 Henleys playing for Callington, making it a bit of a family affair for both teams! Can we keep our good fortune up in the new year I ask!
